Pulheimer Sport Club – Inline-Skater Hockey Division “Pulheim Vipers”

Pulheimer Sport Club’s inline-skater hockey division, the “Pulheim Vipers,” was founded in 1995 and is part of one of the largest sports clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia. With nearly 200 active members across various age groups, the Vipers have become a top training ground for young athletes in the sport. The club offers a skating school for children and youth to learn inline skating, a crucial skill for the game.

The sport itself is a modern version of roller hockey, played indoors with inline skates instead of ice skates. It resembles ice hockey but is played with a bright orange rubber ball instead of a puck and involves four field players and a goalie per team, making it fast and dynamic. Thanks to its accessibility, inline-skater hockey has grown steadily in Germany, with more than 9,000 players in 250 clubs nationwide. Notably, the Vipers’ women’s team competes in the 1st Bundesliga, proving their strength at the highest level.
